What skills can I acquire to become a more valuable asset to my hospitals?

Hi, I’m an informatics pharmacist that’s relatively new to my role. I had no formal informatics training beyond a few classes in college. We currently work with Meditech Magic 5.67 and will be transitioning to Cerner Millennium within the next year. I consider myself a competent pharmacist and am able to contribute clinically, but I’d like to acquire some skills that are more on the IT/informatics side. My first inclination is to learn SQL our report writers use it currently and it seems that Cerner’s Discern tool uses something similar to SQL. Would this be a good first start? Any good references would be appreciated and/or data sets to work with. Definitely welcome to any other suggestions too. Thank you.
