Redmoor Health wins NHS Wales virtual group clinics contract

Redmoor Health has landed a new contract to support the roll-out of virtual group clinics across Wales.

NHS Wales is launching the new programme to deliver virtual clinics to groups of people with similar health needs, including diabetes, asthma, rheumatology and dermatology.

The contract will see the company train 250 healthcare providers, covering primary, community, and secondary care in Wales, with a video group clinics development support programme.
Marc Schmid, Managing Partner, Redmoor Health, said: “We are delighted to be working with our Welsh healthcare colleagues and the Welsh Government to support their latest plans to introduce the video group clinics programme and patient care pathways across all three parts of the NHS.”
“This first of its kind spread programme means that people across Wales will be able to access the benefits of video group clinic care and support, whichever clinician they need to see in whatever setting, from the safety and convenience of their own home.”
“Over the coming months, Redmoor-ELC will deliver a comprehensive support programme at pace, with all the practice development and technical support required for clinical teams in general practice, in the community and in hospital outpatient departments to run video group clinics securely and safely.”
Georgina Craig, Managing Partner, Redmoor-ELC, said:“COVID-19 has changed the way clinicians deliver patient care and accelerated the spread and application of digital healthcare and technology. We know that our combined expertise of driving person centred change and supporting clinical teams and their patients to introduce digital healthcare solutions like video group clinics delivers game changing benefits and improves outcomes.”
