NHS Birmingham and Solihull picks workforce tool for 162 practices

NHS Birmingham and Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group has selected the workforce management solution from Lantum.
The day-to-day, cloud based tool will be used as a new multi-disciplinary staff bank across 162 GP practices in the area.
The programme has been supported by NHS England funding for Integrated Care Systems to invest in staff pools and digitise rostering and scheduling.
Dr Natasha Behind Gupta, Clinical Lead, Birmingham and Solihull CCG, commented: “We are excited about our partnership with Lantim, which will provide greater opportunity to support our Locum GP and Nursing Workforce, and practice capacity needs within Birmingham and Solihull STP.”
Melissa Morris, Founder and CEO, Lantum, added: “Supporting Birmingham and Solihull CCG with their system-wide primary care workforce strategy is so exciting. We have worked in the region for over five years, and can’t wait to deliver transformation on a larger scale.
The programme aims to save the ICS money, and reduce associated administrative time. The bank will be used by 162 practices across Birmingham and Solihull CCG, incorporating several different staff types, and with the goal to provide improved access to working opportunities, faster payments and more visibility and control over bookings.
