Ankota COO, Sara Moore, has created a few initiatives to spark conversations about community in the home care industry.
Among other efforts, she created AHomeCareCommunity.com to provide a place online for folks in home care to share ideas, offer Best Practices and resources, and to promote events. She has also started “Monday Moore Mantras.” She recently sent an email introducing this initiative, to Ankota customers, but I thought it would be helpful to share some of her Mantras here as well:
Some folks have asked, “Why community?”
Great question! Let’s dive in.
Before we get into “the why” though, let’s start with “the what”:
What is community?
The definition that resonates most with me personally is: “A feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.”
Okay great, by why community?
What value does it offer? Community is a space where conversations are shared about the top pain points, growth potential, and other topics we wish to discuss about our industry.
Community is a place where we can learn together, and most importantly, grow together.
My passion is to bring our home care community together to continue growing and learning. My team and I have created an online community for the home care industry called ahomecarecommunity.com. Our goal is to provide thoughtful and engaging conversations to anyone in the home care profession, based on your voices. My personal goal is to spark conversations from you, our community.
Which leads us to today’s mantra…
Build Significant Relationships
Today’s mantra was inspired by this quote from James Comer:
“No significant learning can occur without a significant relationship.”
Today’s Call to Action:
Have you begun to build significant relationships within a community? Name one way a community you are part of has helped you with your business. Share with us here.
Also, if you haven’t already introduced yourself, please take the opportunity to do so from last week’s post Introductions to A Home Care Community
With hope and gratitude,
Sara Moore, Chief Operating Officer
