Hi I’m looking into health information technology certificates. Im in my 30s trying to increase income. I recently stumbled on the trauma registrar and cancer registrar positions. I work in customer service now and was immediately interested in both of these but I would need to devote years of free time to an associates degree and the registry certificates. Is there enough jobs to make this worth it? The beauro of labor statistics shows there’s less than 50k jobs in the entire health registry and information technician sector, which is less than the animation page, and animation is known to be hard to get into.. If I follow this path, and I save, and I’m willing and prepared to move for a job at the other end, will I have marketable skills or should I look into other high payout associates degrees and forget about health registries and information tech?
