Another entry from this great newsletter on the mental health / wellness startup industry came in. I really enjoy these interviews the author has been posting. This newsletter’s interview was with Lucia Huang, Founder of Osmind. The Osmind platform seeks to dominate the Electronic Health Records system specifically for treatment-resistant care. Some modern, popular forms of treatment-resistant care include psychedelic-assisted therapies, and other “neuromodulation” techniques like TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation). It’s so exciting to watch companies like this innovate, and then to watch inspired companies fill in newfound niches. The idea that someone could use this system to be directed to the right kind of therapy for treatment-resistant depression instead of just choosing a product / strategy based on their own homework gives me hope for mental healthcare. Curious to hear the community’s thoughts on companies like these?
